Dave 11-08David Stark
has been the Executive Director of Stiles Hall since 1997 and been a part of the program for over 20 years. He is the founder and co-instructor of the Facing You, Facing Me seminar. Previously he worked for eight years with the largest metropolitan voluntary desegregation program in the country.

keyannaKeyanna Hatcher is the Director of Berkeley Scholars to Cal III, has a B.A. in African American Studies from U.C. Berkeley and worked for Summer Bridge, African American Student Development Office, Residential Student Services and Bridges Multi-Cultural Center.

Kenny Gutierrez is the Experience Berkeley Transfer Director and transferred from San Jose City College to UC Berkeley majoring in English and minoring in Chicano Studies. He has been involved in social justice and equity issues for the past ten years.


Adrián Alejandro Chávez is the Director of Berkeley Washington DC Tulip GardenScholars To Cal IV,majoring in Social Welfare and minoring in Public Policy. He is a member of Hermanos Unidos.

outreachfLiliana Hu Wu is the Director of Community Service, majoring in Business and Minoring in Forestry and Natural Resources. She has worked with the RAZA Recruitment and Retention Center.

Sidney Lee is the Director of Berkeley Scholars V, majoring in business. She is part of the National Council of Negro Women and Haas Undergraduate Black Business Association.

Janelle Sales is the Experience Berkeley High School Director and a UC Berkeley graduate from the Gender & Women’s Studies Department. She is a former director for the Black Recruitment & Retention Center and former Americorps teacher. Her passions are education, travel, and living a healthy lifestyle.



jcJennifer Church
is the Office Manager for the last 22 years. With a B.A. in Art History from Mills, she is a member of the Contra Costa Quilt Guild and shows her work annually.

Marilyn Kihara is the Controller for the past 21 and has Marilynworked with Stiles Hall for 39 years, serving in 1975 as the Director of Educational Guidance Center.
