Stiles Hall Community Service Programs
"A Community Services Agency"

Stiles Hall, a private non-profit agency, has engaged U.C. students in meeting pressing community needs for over a century. Students volunteers assist low income youth stay in school and succeed, while gaining invaluable pre-professinal experience.

4-6 hours per week (2 hours must be regularly scheduled) for two semesters for all projects. This includes regular meetings with the coordinator and other volunteers. Most volunteers are matched in long term, one to one relationships. If you are dedicated, love working with people, and appreciate a challenge, please apply today!

Our current programs include:

Mentor/Role Model Project
Matches U.C. students with children from the local community in year-long relationships.  Volunteers serve as positive role models, friends, and advocates, and often become part of the child’s extended family.  Half of the time is spent on literacy and academic support.
